Come spend a relaxing and informative day at Wiawaka Center for Women on beautiful Lake George.  In session 1 participants will have insight into Ayurveda through powerpoint and discussion. During session 2 participants will experience some of the healing tools and activities Ayurveda has to offer.  Use the before, break, and after sessions to swim, stroll and enjoy the grounds of this special place.

AN AYURVEDIC GUIDE TO HEALTHY LIVING

Ayurveda, the 5,0000 year old traditional medicine from India teaches us to know who we are, what is appropriate for our bodies and our relationship to the five elements of nature. By understanding our doshas (unique constitution) and balancing them through diet and lifestyle we can avoid illness, improve health and general wellbeing in mind, body and spirit. I invite you to come and explore Ayurveda the life changing Science of Life

You may bring your own lunch or purchase a home cooked meal from Wiawaka. Please notify Wiawaka ahead of the day if you wish to purchase and if you have any food allergies.

Session 2    2:00 to 4:30:

AYURVEDIC NATURE’S KITCHEN TIPS FOR SELF-CARE

Ayurveda provides tools that will enable one to build physical strength and mental capability to battle ailments that the body may incur.  This hands on sessions offers the experiences of Abhyanga (self-massage), simple exercises that can be incorporated into the daily routine, the making and taking home remedies for skin care, oral hygiene, and relaxation.  In addition recipes will be shared for the prevention of ailments regarding sleep, digestion and colds. This session will end with the guided meditation, Divine Sleep®Yoga Nidra, a time to rest and restore.

Cost $50 due at reservation, and is refundable. A day pass to Wiawaka is included
